Discussion about the immigration
Here is a comment to the question about the immigration in the UK. Feel free to join the discussion.
Great Britain is attracting people in many ways. On the films you can see smiling people who has their homes, cars. People from whole the world believe in this myth. They do not know much more than about The Beatles and gentleman in a high-hat in the past. Even criminal films does not warn them as they consider them a TV fiction. They believe in a tea-time and nice smiling people.
Daily Mail only once did show people from Pakistan sleeping under a bridge and their dream was to go back home. They were very disappointed. They could not get a legal job and they were not getting any help. They were deceived by gangs for whom they were valued £10k just for helping them to get into the country. They did not get promised job and landed on the street.
There were 538,817 visas granted in the year ending June 2014, excluding visitor and transit visas, 7% (+37,209) higher than in the year ending June 2013.
The problem is not with the 1.5 million or two of the Europeans who arrived here during last 10 years. The problem is with halve million the short-term visa students yearly, from Africa and Asia, whom you cannot find after finishing studies. Only 130k are officially granted with Long Term Visas. Some of them are using sham marriages to stay, fake documents or they just get the job illegally.
There were 1.9 million (1,907,845) visitor visas granted in the year ending June 2014, 5% higher (+99,063) than in the previous 12 months (note these figures do not include the student visitor category). Much of the increase was accounted for by higher numbers granted to Chinese (+63,090 or +26%), Kuwaiti (+20,145 or +29%), Saudi Arabian (+14,001 or +17%), Turkish (+9,658 or +12%) and Philippine (+7,462 or +33%) nationals. People from Dubai you can find later on the building sites working for 5 pounds, or less, per hour as I have been told by an English gentleman.
Mr Cameron. Please don’t tell your nation that the Europeans did take English jobs as this is just not fair. The Europeans, want to work here legally and get not less than the English people. They expect the same rights and they want to make competition on the base of the skills and dedication rather than by undercutting the wages.
